Are you interested in hiring a Death Doula? Death Doulas support you and your loved ones who are contemplating or approaching death. Though I am a physician by training, my work as a Death Doula is non-medical and would not in any way impact your medical care.

Here are services I provide:

Comfort Care - When we meet we can talk about what you are interested in. Each visit may be different depending on how you are feeling. The services below can be combined to create a unique session for you:

• Reiki - this relaxing treatment is provided in the comfort of your home, in a restful place such as your bed or chair, to help alleviate stress and reduce pain. Reiki can be helpful for the dying person but also alleviates stress for caregivers and during bereavement. I incorporate Pranic Healing to create a relaxing experience to support you.

• Meditation, Guided Imagery and Breathing for Relaxation - These time honored practices help to bring calm, clarity and deepen the experience of the present. This can be helpful for the dying person as well as caregivers and loved ones, and during bereavement.

• Companionship - These time honored practices help to bring calm, clarity and deepen the experience of the present. This can be helpful for the dying person as well as caregivers and loved ones, and during bereavement.

Comfort Care: $250 for a 2- hour block

Legacy Work - we work together to create a Legacy piece that can be a Memory box, A written life story, Photo Album, Video messages or Letters to friends and loved ones, or special notes for children and grandchildren to open in the future. Depending on what you would like to do, a project might require as little as 2 hours or up to 10 or more if you would like to create a more extensive project.

Does insurance cover Death Doula care?

Currently, Insurance, Medicare and Medicaid do not cover Death Doula services. I can accept most forms of payment such as Venmo, Zelle or Check, payable at the time of service. I will provide a receipt describing services, for your records.
